Popped over to a couple of blogs and, along with Keith Olbermann's special comment, was saddened by thinking about September 11th. Tomorrow. Was looking for some images from Seattle Center just after. Because we're so far away, people were moved to bring flowers to the international fountain...it was only going to be open for 2 days. I think it stretched to 5. At the end there was something like 80 cubic feet of flowers which were composted for a memorial garden.
The following summer, we drove onto the New York State Fairgrounds near Nana's. I had a really eerie feeling when I stood so close to some pieces from Ground Zero. (We were there to see the war memorial).
I still feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.
God rest them. Peace for the survivors.
