Lightbulb Moment

So I'm takin' a class. It's a church thing and for the most part pretty interesting. This past week the instructor said something that made me go "hmmmmmm".

Piety does not equal holiness.

It makes all kinds of sense and it's another way of saying something that I've often thought myself. Many times I don't feel "Catholic enough". I feel I'm slightly out of step. On the plus side, I know a lot of people who feel/believe the same as I do. They just aren't very verbal at my "work" parish. It seems that we will never accomplish anything for the greater good because we don't see eye to eye on everything.

I'm trying to avoid writing about my disappointment that I haven't been able to talk to a new friend.

How much are your reading in order to gain a deeper insight into your faith ? Like me you obviously do a lot of writing about your journey but am curious to know what you are reading in order to help shape your thoughts and ideas? Let me know...
