It is New Year's Day on the east coast. This is the first time I've been with my family for NYE. I'm trying not to be bummed. Not bummed about New Year so much as feeling that going back to my house and to work on Monday and to classes on Tuesday is a total downer. Would be so neat if I could turn over a rock and find an astronomical amount of money.
Am still sad to be single for yet ANOTHER holiday season. Sistah Dubh has been kind of hostile about things -- threatening to kick people in the face, or to kick puppies. I'm not usually a hostile person but--because I'm such a FREAK -- having been to a variety of stores over the last couple of weeks I've have wanted to kick retailers in the face because I don't want to see Valentine's stuff in effing November.
sigh--I think I need to do a happy post. I'll see what I can come up with over the weekend.
