Okay, so I'm watching and reading a lot of stuff about Memorial Day. In almost everything I've read or watched someone makes a comment about how "the folks back home don't care". On the one hand I'm offended as hell because I care. On the other hand I think that to some extent it's true. It's seems that the media is falling down on the job.
A thought that just occured to me. We could conceivably blame it on the previous administration who maintained the prohibition on video/photos of flag-draped coffins. If we had been bombarded by these images there may have been a lot more outcry earlier.
So. Even if it's not enough I care about those serving our country and those who served before.
